#1 Mar 05 2006 at 4:58 AM Rating: Decent
I would like to know which of both Dirge or Troubador is more popular in groups

Another question: While fighting the system forces you to face the enemy. Am i able to disable that to move freely in combat?

Thank you

Overall they are about the same, though dirges are better in melee groups and troubs in caster groups.

I cant say what tanks would prefer, but in high end dirges get a rez and a percussion of stone that prevents damage, increased hate for the tank. Troubs get hot, crowd control, lowers non tank aggro, and a chance to reflect magic damage.

I find most of my dirge attacks automatically face me to the enemy, and most, but not all abilities allow me to cast while moving. Though a few like our life tap song, and some debuffs have to be cast standing still.

Yes but why would you want to? Or maybe more important, why do you think you would need to?

The auto-face is actually a great way to help you in combat, here's why...

Some of your attacks are flank/rear only. But the mob will automatically turn with you when you move around, preventing you from using them. Sooo...

- You Stun the mob, run behind it (auto-face spins you around) then use a flank/rear attack.
- Keep attacking from behind until the mob faces you (now you use only front attacks).
- When your Stun timer refreshes, do it all again.

You can also combine this with a Heroic Opportunity (HO). The sweet thing is, the rear/flank attacks are not part of the HO chain. So after you Stun-run-rear attack, the HO wheel is still counting down and you finish it with yet another attack and HO bonus!

Check out this tall tale of a Troubador in action.
