Alright well I did all the tradeskill stuff I could on the island and got my skill up to lv 7. I went through Baubbleshire and just got to Qeynos. Is there a specific place where the tradeskill societies are located or are they spread out?
I'm wanting to be a tailor but haven't been able to find anyone. Any info would be appreciated :)

In your home village, you'll find a Wholesaler Society which looks like a cellar trapdoor. You need to join that by speaking to the guy next to it.
I believe there are also some starter quests for crafters now and hopefully someone can fill you in on the details for those

There are indeed some starter quests, which result in a vest with +1 to all crafting stats, and a "meager harvesting bag", 10 slots, which can hold harvested items. You will also receive the crafting books one through...nine or ten (I forget), for FREE.
To get started with thest quests, you need to have joined the Wholesaler Society in your home village. If you are in Qeynos, the quest NPC stands along the wall just at the top of the stairs that go down to the crafting area. In Freeport, the NPC stands in by the alchemy tables on the first level.
The quests are easy and do not require pristine items to complete.

I attempted to do that quest with a alt. Sure enough the first thing I had to make involved a bush/brush harvested item. Only 1 person on broker selling it and they wanted like 3 gold or some crazy amount (people are so greedy sometimes, I cry myself to sleep over the price of raw honey). Anyways harvested a good 5 or 6 nodes and still don't have the item :/
