Faction titlesFollow

Im pretty sure this has been answered before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. In the various structures where writ-givers are (Freeport Militia House, Temple of War [Dismal Rage] and such) Theres a merchant there who sells various items, some which contain titles for them which can be purchased for status points, but I can't buy them since the buy button is greyed out.

I've asked around the guild, but with no direct answer. I've checked and learned that I have plenty of status points and coin, but still can't purchase anything. Im lead to believe now that these titles can only be bought if I'm in good standing with them from doing writs, but I'd like a little feedback and see if I can be proven wrong since Im still quite a ways away from becoming more than 'indifferent' to them. Thanks!

Yes, you'll need to gain faction with that group and that means not gaining favor with the opposing factions. So if you want to buy something that the scouts offer, don't help the priests, the mages or the warriors out for a while!

The estimate is that you need to do around 150 writs for one faction to get your first title Smiley: smile

Just got my envoy title today !!! :) (Qeynos second title for tradeskill writs)

Since one of the last LU you don't get any faction hits when you do writs for a faction. However you still have to raise your faction up to amiably (10K) with one or another of the factions, which means that you can get lets say writs from the 4 adventuring writs givers and grow it all at the same time, or concentrate on one to have it grow quicker (if there is a title that is more appealing to you than another).

It takes time. Dunno where you are in terms of levels but raising these factions is ALOT more demanding compared to raising the factions in Maj Dul. If i am not mistaken you get your first title after 125 writs with one faction, that is, if you didnt do the new newbie quests that raises faction.

Hope that helps

I think there might have been a change. I've been doing enough writs from all 4 guilds, enough to choke a whale. That should have cancelled out all faction with other guilds.

However, I decided to click on the nearby mage guild merchant, and low-and-behold, he had all kinds of wares available to me, including 3 levels of titles.

Just to make sure, I went to the fighter guild and checked that merchant. He had just as much stuff ready to sell me, including 3 levels of titles!

I was surprised, as I surmised my faction from massive writage should have been basically zero across the board.

I still haven't compared my Faction Status page.

Knight Captain Kindle? It has a certain ring to it... :)
