Why does SOE even give us a General chat if they are just going to moderate it constantly. Every time I go into General chat it is ALWAYS under moderation. That has got to be the stupidest idea ever. I mean why make a chat room that you can not talk in? Everquest 1 has went years without moderateing the chat rooms and it was never a problem. Why can't they just open up more then 1 general chat when there are server problems etc like in eq1. I mean I sat there for a few minutes and there was not 1 GM in the room to say anything.
Anyways its 5:30am here couldn't sleep last night and wanted to get some eq2 playins in before the merger between tox and guk and sure enough the log in servers seem to be down. Oddly enough there was only 32 people in the chat room. Usually when there is a major problem there is 100's in there, but I guess it could be due to the time.

What is the point in General Chat?Follow
I've been in a general chat while servers were down, and things get ugly fast. Or rather they used to as I haven't played for six months till yesterday, but that's besides the point.
Then I usually switched to the French boards myself, but those got invaded by people who couldn't get on the general anymore and more often than not degenerated quickly too. Never did try the German after that, not really skilled enough for that.
