I'm Finally playing EQ2Follow

#1 Feb 15 2006 at 12:53 PM Rating: Good
Hey all,

Some of you may remember me from the old EQ(1) days. Then i went on to WOW for a while. I have been out of the MMO arena for a while, but glad to be back.

So, I figured some of you old time Alla folks will remember me and maybe even have a spot in a guild for an old school EQer like me. I have zero in game friends as I start, so any server will do...and I will play whatever race/class combo the guild may need.

Anyway, I am looking forward to getting into this and using the boards here at alla (of course) to seek help or *****. lol

Hey lhuffman!! Not only do I remember you, I am proud to say that for a while we were guildies!

Welcome back!

I have just moved to Najena because the server I was on, (Toxxulia), is being folded into Guk and I didn't fancy moving there.

I have no doubt that you will enjoy the game anywhere you land and that if you choose Najena, you would be welcome in the same guild I am joining. It is called Foundation and one of the regular posters here, (Tutanbriarpaw), is a big wheel in the guild!

As far as race/class, I think you will find this game a lot more forgiving then EQ live, so choose what you will enjoy playing and don't worry so much about need. Many groups function without being based on the basic triad of tank/DPS/healer and do quite well.

If you want some help getting on your feet, let me know when you will be on and what server and I will roll up a new character and meet you on the island. I'd be glad to show you the ropes and help you get started.

OBD!! Yes, I remember you as well. Thank you for the welcome and I believe I will take you up on your offer...I will roll a new character on Najena and start there.

I have created two chars just to see how the game plays and if I will want ti invest the time into it...as you can imagine, the answer was yes. lol.

Actually, I am going to buy another copy of the game tonight. We need two accounts because my kids will all want to play as well. So I will get on the Naj server tonight. What is your cahr name so I can look you up?

Thanks again and I will see you in game.

My 2 mains are a lvl 44 warden named Amorina and a lvl 38 ranger named Hijera - both of Qeynos. However, neither of them is on the island so they will be of little help to you early on.

If you can give me an idea of what time you'll be on, and whether you're playing good or evil, I will roll up a new toon and meet you on the island.

OK - last night I rolled up a dwarven mystic, (Queen's Colony - Najena), pushed him along to level 6 and left him parked on the island. His name is Kamakiriad and he is available to group and heal whenever you're ready... Tell me when you'll be on and I'll meet you there!
#6 Feb 16 2006 at 12:17 PM Rating: Good
Ahhh...OBD.

I created a char on Najena last night and got him to Qeynos. He is an 8th lvl Barb guardian, named Luman. (True to form...my very first EQ char was a Barb warrior named Luman...hehe)

I will add all of your characters to my friends list and look for you there.

Anyone else playing on the Najena server...giveme a tell if you see me in game.

I have an idea: Why don't we just move the Alla Guild to Najena? We could call it "Foundation" and Tut can be one of the main leaders in the guild.

I'm about to roll a character on the damn thing. Friggin' peer pressure.

That made me laugh out loud, thanks! :)

I seem to be low on shameless guild plugs. Time to go print some more pamphlets. :)

There, we go. Sent you some guild info, Meayrk.

(Apologies for the hijack!)

So Tut (or OBD), what are the requirements for that guild on Najena?

I got my monk up to lvl 14 so far, and I like the feel of it. (could have hit 15 easily now, but everything's down for ten hours now)

Mearyk wouldnt it of been easier to transfer one of your characters to Najena, since it is free right now, or did they stop that now. It was an easy way to get an established toon on a new server.

I didn't want to transfer my toons. I have too much time invested in Rebels of the Sacred Heart and I wasn't going to let my mates down. I, along with Dak and another brave soul, are trying to get our guild back in order. The three of us are striving to make sure our guild stands above the rest. So, if you are thinking of coming to the Lucan DLere server, feel free to send a tell to Panzzer, Mearyk or Nepherius. Give the Rebels a shot. We will help you get on your feet.

On a some what related note: I am thinking of renaming my character to Natutetahi. It has a nice ring to it for a Kerran.

If one were to look in the mirror whilst reading that name, the hidden meaning would be revealed. Smiley: sly

I don't. I hate you because you are so damn convincing and because you are now taking time away from my other guild. Smiley: mad

I don't want to move my main off Nek and my small but friendly guild, but he does have me thinking about rolling a new character on Naj

I did a bit of the demo and thought EQ was pretty nice and that I'd like to see more of it, so I'll be joining, and Foundation looks like the type of guild I'm looking for!

Do you accept the greenest of the green Tut?

Tut likes to catch his prey fresh. So much more pliable that way.

The Force is strong in that one
