I was in TS yesterday waiting for Stilleto to show his little tail so I could start an HQ. I was 2-boxing with my bard and my mage when I got those cutesie little green plus signs that pop-up on the upper right hand corner of the screen of my bard. I ended up have to reset everyone of those abilities. I don't know if it was a bard thing or a dark-elf thing. No one else seemed to have that happen.

Did anyone here have this? I had not leveled and in fact hadn't killed anything that wasn't gray to me. My mage is 2-levels lower than my bard and gets aggro with some of the gray mobs. That alone makes no sense. Why does she get aggro from gray mobs? I think it must be her "Dune" looking worm or something.

But back to the original question. Did anyone else have to reset all of their abilities?

I had to reset some of my bard abilities from this last change to being able to create bards from level 1, but I have not had to do a complete reset since the combat revamp a while back.

The reason those greys attack your mage is because it is lower level then your bard. You look at cons by what your bard is seeing, even on your mage, while the greys are really green to your mage and will attack. They made that change a short while back because a low level could fully explore maps without any risk.

Yes you can thank LU19 for that. I despise the way they changed the greying out of mobs. Was in a nek castle group last night and because we had 1 person under lvl 44 we had to fight half the mobs in the zones as greys! We all did a feedback but I know they won't listen.

If they want to keep low levels from exploreing a zone then fine, but at least keep the mobs green so we get pitiful exp and loot from them. We all ended up mentoring last night, but of course you lose 50% of the exp by mentoring a big 2 levels.

All this will do is make higher levels not want to raid with the lower levels. I mean its bad when a nek castle group only wants lvl 45+, but you can't blame people for not wanting to fight grey mobs.

I am in the middle on the issue, with exploring being worth while in eq2, I see why they dont want people to go everywhere because they have a high level buddy.

But I agree that forcing your group to fight for no xp because of a low level groupmate is a stupid way to do things. You have it right, make the cons based on the lowest member not the highest, the group will get something atleast. Plus if the entire group can see what is agressive there may be ways to avoid the encounter, or atleast no surprise aggro.
