Hello, I am going to start playing EQ2, and I love being a healer. I was wondering if you could make any suggestions as to what "tree" to follow.

Since last live update you don't have to choose a tree anymore. You start with your final class at level 1. All healers are good in their own way. I have a level 60 templar and hes doing extremely well in group situations. However theres a lot of complaining about templars soloing as the less soloing friendly class over there (i totally agree with that lol).

As far as server go, EQ2 is currently being restructured with server merges, so pretty much every server will be worth it, even though ppl that come on these forums regurarly already see Tutanbriarpaw coming on his horse proclaiming Najena is the best server out there :P. Your choice really.

I also am a templar at lvl 46. I dont have much of a problem finding a group during prime time. At the most 15-20 min looking for a group. Early weekday morning and such are still a pain if I take a day off of work.

The only other problem I have seen lately is that alot of times I will get a group but then wait around trying to find a Tank. They seem to be much rarer then the healers and you will find yourself with 2 healers in a group alot.

We humor him of course, but eveyone knows Nektulos is the server all other servers wish they could be. Lavastorm is merging with us today, so we'll be twice as good.

It seems that since Najena didn't have anyone merging with us, we have a robust population that didn't require or need a merge.

Greshark, if you are still looking for a server, come check Najena. We have people in all level ranges, plus guilds high and low.

When you get here, look me up. I can help you get started (although I'm on travel until the 18th). I have already welcomed a few members of this board and helped them get on their feet, plus look forward to a few new guild members. :)

Oh, great! Now you tell me... I make the move, get everyone across the abyss, the movers lost and broke a bunch of my stuff, and where's the fanfare? Where's the brass band? Where's the key to the city?

I'm standing here all alone on Najena with my thumb in my... EAR! Yeah, that's it... my thumb in my ear...

(Actually, I didn't have any time to play last night so it didn't really make any difference...)

I see smoke and mirrors...

"Come to my server little boy. I promise to help. By the way, I'm NEVER ON!!! Mmmwwwahahahaha!!!"

Lucan won't let ya down.

I'm feeling the love
I'm so sorry for the confused looks from the Qeynos guards.

I had an opportunity to add a few days at the end of a business trip and see some haven't-seen-them-in-eons family.

As I let everyone know, during my absence you can contact Squibb, Delamorta, or Maxim for an invite. I'll be on this weekend!

Or just take a number and wait outside the guild house on Lucie Street... :)

Any healer can just about walk into a group. That is all you ever see is people shouting LF healer in the chat channels.

Sounds just like all of the other evil promises from Lucans followers, right?

Greshark, I'm new to the game (1 week) and I've been playing a Druid. Their heals are quite nice and also they're support spells are great too. Any priest class can heal almost the same amount, but in EQ2, the style of healing is different among the classes. I mean instant heals, heals over time, reactive heals. That's the main diff. between the priest classes' healing ability.

The specialty heal you missed is the Ward, which mystics and defilers (shamans) get. Druids (Wardens and Furies) get HoT's and Clerics (Templars and Inquisitors) get reactives, which heal on impact.

All healers get instant heals which are pretty much equal.

...until Furies get an extra one at high level which whacks them even more out of balance with other priests. (Did I say that out loud?) I love my Fury friends. :)
