Well, I planned on returning to EQ II after a long period of being unable to because of academic pressures and stress, and I'm a bit worried.

See, I'd gotten all psyched about playing an Iksar and doing the whole Betrayal quest go ally myself with Qeynos and play a Paladin Iksar.

Now that I have to choose my class at the start and stick with it, will that mean I will only ever be able to play the evil Fighter based classes?

Not a problem. Roll up your ikky and choose the opposite of pally (shadowknight). When you complete the betrayal he will automatically flop over to the good version of his evil only skill and TA-DA... you're a Pally!

Heheh nice way of putting it blue...in other words get him up to be able to do the betrayal (you can do it at any level now so you can get help with it at any level.) and when you get to Qeynos it will change your class into a pally and you get your new spells..but you will get teased (scaley butts *cough*)

Couple notes:

If you know you're going to betray, do it ASAP.

Ignore your room and it's contents, it will be less trouble getting fewer stuffs to Qeynos.

When you get to Qeynos and flip to Paladin, all your spells and arts will change to those for a paladin and they will be at Apprentice I, the lowest level, so don't invest a lot in upgrades for your shadowknight spells.

BTW, I don't think you can do it at any level yet, but it is planned.

I would suggest that you also pluck up all those zone specific question marks and mail them to yourself. When you get through the rest of the betrayal quest you will have some unique items to sell. I need some moths and have been watching the broker for them. Since they don't drop in Q-town they aren't readily available on the brokers. Just a suggestion.

I know that if I could buy them from the broker I would.
