Can you guys tell me a little of what they would play as in the battle field? i like the DPS with hand to hand attacks but i heard someone say they tank :-\. Are they more DD or Tank ? i can understand tanking a couple fights but not all the time, iam thinking about this class as a DD class like in FFXI,

monk is pure DPS and big DD, occasionaly tanks because of high HP.

are these classes anything like the description above?

Thanks in advanced, (if not what is another pure DPS class?)

Monks+Bruisers are classified as tanks but imo they could as well be classified as DPS, especially the bruiser.

Best way to see them is the less 'typical' tank with the highest dps out there. While you have fair hp, you cant sustain all that much damage, but you have really high avoidance to compensate. Which means you dont get hit as often as, lets say, a fully plated guardian, but when you get hit it does hurt.

I also heard a lot of good about soloing as a bruiser.

As for 'pure' dps, avoid any healing class lol. Brigands make awesome damage and are a rare asset out there, while in the mage type, a wizard on single targets is hard to beat. Each class has its strenght and weakness, so its hard to say which one is 'best'
