Hi, I started a warlock on the colony and did not find anywhere to learn tradeskills as I didn't know where to look for them. Now I am level 11 in castleview trying to do tradeskills and cannot as I have no book of recipes. When I talked to the person I was to get the skills from they gave me no recpies. Just said to make white tea, which I can't without a recipe can someone please help me???

You need to find your specialty Workshop in Castleview. It will be behind a door somewhere and it's marked on the ingame map.

Ummmm... I think he means lvl 11 adventurer and lvl 0 crafter...
There was a bug in test where if you didn't do any crafting before you left the island you were stuck at lvl 0 and had no starting recipes. They fixed it by adding an NPC within the grounds at the Temple of Life in Qeynos who will gift you with those beginning recipes and start you off at crafting level 3.
Before the patch left test, they fixed the problem so that you automatically got the recipes and XP when you left the island but hopefully, that NPC also made it to live! If not, you might have to petition it.
btw - the crafting instance on the island can now be found beneath the usual set of cellar doors, located around the back of the mage's tower.

Yes there is... there should be one in the academy of science, (or whatever that place is called!).

What is the NPC's name in Temple of Life? I can't seem to find anyone that gets me through my no-receipe predicament.

Ok nevermind. For me (dwarf beserker) I went to the NPC in Greystone Yard that stands outside of the tradeskill instance (doors that lead to the cellar where you make stuff). And I just hailed him and he gave me a receipe book lv 1 so that i could start crafting. Other NPC's didn't work in other areas but this one did.
