I was wondering is it possible to be a Dark Elf wizard on the good allignment. I dont have the game yet, I should be getting it in the next few days, and my friend is on the good side but I really want to be a dark elf and I know there is a betrayel quest but can I still become a Wizard or whatever? I'm just a little confused with this right now. Never played any EQ games before played almost every other ;)

Thanks.

In a soon to be released (this week I believe) Live Update, you will pick your class when you start your character. So you can be a level 1 Warlock, a level 1 Wizard, a level 1 Paladin, etc. After you complete the beginning noobie Isle, you will take travel to your home city.

As a Dark Elf, you will begin in Freeport and live there complete with an Inn room. You can complete a Betrayal Quest before you reach level 18 to become a citizen of Qeynos. During your time of betrayal, you will not be welcome in either city, so be prepared for a long stint camping in the woods.

Well I know they are going to be redoing the betrayal quests soon so that you can betray at all levels. I am wondering how this is going to work now. Are they going to allow evil classes like necros to become residents of Qeynos or are there still going to be restrictions on crossing over.

Also the new system has gotten rid of the ability to be any race class combo unless you can switch your subclass when you betray. You can no longer be a Dark Elf Ranger any more unless you were one prior to the patch.
