Well, I'm fairly new to EQ2, tho a 5 year EQ1 vet. Among many others. Left Wow basically due to the overcrowding and community overall. I'm here for a few weeks and now we have the servers merge upon us! I'm not a happy camper. Soooo.... Are there any low pop servers out here that will not really be effected overly by the transfers? Would love to hear from a guild that is family style, fairly small and is recruiting lower levels. Website would be nice! I really enjoy this game and the right guild makes it so mush more fun! I remember patch days in EQ1 and the memories are not pleasant. I can only imagine what havoc complete server transfers will bring. Hence my desire to move ASAP and hopefully resume my happy times in the world of Norath! Hope to hear from SOMEBODY out there. Thanks!

You'll probably find that even though servers are merging, you will still find the population not over-crowded.

Almost all zones have the ability to "split zone". Meaning, if a zone get to a large capacity, another identical zone will be created. When you zone in you will be given a choice, Antonica 1, Antonica 2, etc. I remember during the first few months of the game, there were 5 Antonica zones!

This is different to the traditional instanced zone, like LDoN, where you and your party are the only ones there.

The actual numbers of the servers still seems to be a mystery. You can tell the current server load when you create your character and select a server. You could look for one with a low server load during your normal play hours. Other than that, you need to do a few commands at the keyboard, /who all fighter, /who all priest, etc. and tally up the numbers.

My guild and I have been playing on Najena since launch, and we're all in different time zones in the US. Najena has been adopted as the unofficial Aussie server, but we never have trouble finding a group. I believe there is a significant part of the population from the US also.

I typically play late evening West Coast time, so I meet my Aussie mates as they start the play-day.

Foundation is a small family guild of parents and kids that play together. We are always looking for like minded people. :) Most of our members are in the upper 40's or 50's, but we all run alts of varying levels. Our crafter has several high level artisan alts, and we are always well-equipped and fed.

Our web site is the SOE provided one, not much to it. We don't talk much on our forums, as we just take care of business in-game.

If you choose Najena, look me up. I can help you get started and we can discuss the guild. :)

I saw a post from you on an earlier thread and was hoping to hear from ya. Sad to hear you dont have a more active board. It does indeed look like you have exactly what Im looking for except your waaay up there in levels. Heh heh. Im really upset about this server merge issue. I don't get all that much in game time (20 hours a week) so my actual in game time is precious. I'm an older gamer myself and have no desire to go back to a WoW mentality community. Currently have two toons in low 20's and loving the game. Was interested in your server as one of the ones that will not be "flooded". And, if it's mainly an aussie server I just might be alone a lot as I'm on the east coast USA. I just might create a toon over there to chat with ya. Never moved a toon in EQ1 and am terribly afraid of how long I might be down! Can't have that!!

We have a few members on the East Coast and central zones, I always seem to get them as they are logging off :(.

Level difference is not a problem, I typically forgoe grinding my high level toon to log a lower level alt and spend the night assisting. It not always about the grind. :) In fact, I get more satisfaction out of that.

One other thing to consider, since you are only level 20, it is not that hard to make up those levels. Plus, with a soon-to-be-release Live Update, the leveling sytem will be changed. Now, instead of having to get to 20 to choose your final class, you will pick your class when you begin.

It will be possible to be a level 1 Shadowknight, or a level 1 Conjurer.

Hope to see you in game. :)

My guld sounds exactly like what you're looking for, we're small and we like it that way. We're on Nektulos which will be on the receiving end of a merger. No one really knows how the mergers will shake out, but I'm with Tutan - I don't see it breaking anything.

Both you folks do indeed sound like the kind of peeps I'm looking to join. Lyd - You folks have a site other than the in game one? I do enjoy the social interaction of a guild, as well as the in game hunting and a good solid forums board is a plus. Heh heh - I'm probably gonna take a vaca day friday and ponder what the heck to do. Good thought on just starting new but with my somewhat limited play times thats not a real solid option for me. I'd like to move quickly and settle in. Hope to "meet" ya soon!
