ive read here and there comments on it the past few days. ive been away for a good bit and just got back home , so i can start up on eq2. i use to 2 box on eq1 and need some advice from the exp players of eq2 please. is 2 boxing doable on eq2? if so what 2 classes would you choose ? classic shaman/tank , shaman/(dps class) , or cleric/tank more suitable for eq2?

Shaman's in EQ2 are healers. The DPS classes are Mage and Scout. Tanks are, well...tanks.

You can 2-box with any 2 classes as long as you have a healer. If you want to kill things fast, go with a DPS class and healer. If you want to take on very hard mobs, pick a tank and healer.

Of the healers, here's how they basically do business:
- Cleric: Large single heals and can wear plate armor.
- Druid: HoT and buffs.
- Shaman: Wards and debuffs.

Each has a sampling of other abilities, but thats the basic idea.

There's several 2 boxers in my guild. They all have a cleric plus Guardian, SK, Paladin and even a Ranger/Cleric combo Smiley: grin

I two-box the following combinations:

36 Bard and a 35 Mage
18 Monk and a 13 Shaman

I just started the second combination so I really can't say much as to how well it will work out in the higher levels. The Bard and Mage are a fun combination but lately it seems I have had to evacuate or die more often. Having a healer would be nice but then you have to deal with the aggro the healer will pull.

My biggest problem with two-boxing is the occasional bit of lag will end up sending the follower in circles. This has just recently become more obvious. More so in the Harbor and in the Enchanted Lands. I know the Harbor is just a lag haven but are the Enchanted Lands prone to lag?
