Computer help again :PFollow

hello,I need to know in yalls comp. opinion what to get..i need a 1gb chip but dont wanna spend but about 100 dollars, i only have 1 slot for a chip left...is this good? (A-DATA V-Series 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) System Memory)..if u havent noticed, im a computer dumbass,its for my laptop for eq2, and for whoever said im 12 or w/e usin dads *********** you, im almost 18 been savin bout 3months of my hard earned money. so if u gonna be a ******** plz dont respond to this, but if you can help me, plz do

As i stated before i dont know much about laptop, but if its compatible with your system, ddr400 ram should be good enough. usually ram is garanteed for life also.

For a laptop, I strongly urge you to check again your owner's manual as to the type of memory to use. 184-pin DIMMs are for DESKTOP PCs, not laptops. You'll need a SODIMM, which is somewhat more expensive, but a much much smaller footprint. Space is at a premium in a laptop.

I've never seen a laptop that used normal Desktop memory.

I personally wouldn't buy from A-DATA either; go with Corsair, Kingston, Samsung, Toshiba, Infineon, or next tier Apacer and PQI. I've personally had problems with A-DATA.

Sorry I replied so late, I hope you haven't bought already; if so, I hope it either fits or you can exchange for the correct type.
