Actually, there were 3 versions of the original game. Two of them were standard versions, including install discs in either CD or DVD format. Also available was a collector's edition packed in a tin hinge-topped box and including the DVD install discs as well as a cloth map, a collectable gold coin and a CD with "all" the game music. Several in-game items were included with all install discs, (like the statue), however, the collector's version also included a baby dragon that could be claimed and used as a house pet.

The only difference is one set is on cd and the other is on dvd. If you have a dvd player Id go with the DvD version. It takes 2 DVD's for the game.

Also there was various versions of the "original" game. Basically some had different /claim gifts. Some of them had the free in game statue, and some didn't. My first account had the statue, but this last account only had a painting :/ Both was the standard dvd box set though.

The statue actualy came from previously having EQ active on that acount as did the Title "of <servername>". The dragon and the crappy jboots were the things given by the collectors set.
