What are the levels of a TS used for and or mean?

someone told me the higher the level the more items they will have available for purchase???

does this mean that eventualy they will sell the hard to find recipe books????

The way I understand it (and someone can correct me) was that what you described was the plan in beta and it just never got implemented when the game went live.

As far as I know, the tradeskill societies will never sell the advanced recipe books no matter how high their level is.

Also, you might want to post this on the official crafting boards - http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board?board.id=general_tradeskill - they have a very very active community there, and you will probably get a definitive answer.

It was in game for a while, and it worked exactly as you said. The higher the society level, the more stuff the vendor had for sale.

But they took that out quite a while ago, so even though you still earn points for the society by doing their harvesting/crafting quests, it actually does nothing.

Unless you like to see your name going up the leader board Smiley: smile

Yea a long time ago you could by shaped quality items such as tier 1 tin bars, elm boards, and all your #2 incrediates used to process raw material. When you hit lvl 10 your tradeskill place wold have started offereing tier 2 in that stuff. Now I don't think it does anything??
