Advice on Class and race :: Free Realms

I have been playing EQ for about an year and hope to upgrade my computer to be able to run EQ2. My question is what class should I play.

Let me tell you about my play style on EQ. My main is a pally as you can see and one alt is a Beastlord. I also have a rogue that i like. My druid is lagging behind and I don't like him much. (yes I am addicted to change and alts)

I have a need to be in the middle of the action so a caster that cant take a his does not have much appeal to me. I also like having a few spell.

Any advise would be great thanks.

There are several flavors of Fighters to choose from, each has some special abilities that set it apart.

Check out this to see a desciption of the different fighter classes.

There is also a Monk archtype that has lightning quick martial art attacks.

You may consider playing a Ranger. They have very powerful ranged attacks with a bow and are deadly during melee.

One big difference from EQ1 is that any race can be any class, no restrictions. Ogre Priest, Gnome Pally, Troll Ranger, it's all possible.

As tutan said you can be any race/class combo. If you like tanking and having a little bit of spells I would say Take the path of a crusader. If you want to melee but not be a meat shield I would go with ranger or assasin (assasin if evil) well good luck on what you pick.
