so you necroposted? If people got banned for stuff like that here it would be nice too.
#4REDACTED, Posted: Dec 09 2005 at 8:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) That does seem a bit harsh, but perhaps there's more to the story?

I have heard alot of bad things about there forums. I have heard several stories of people being banned and posts deleted that talk about negative things about the game (rather it is true or not).

SOE is a bit harsh on moderating their forums, and your offense was minor. But if people constantly necropost, it can be annoying. Look on the bright side, you are allowed back in a week, you wernt banned out right.

I thought a lot of message boards encouraged this type of behavior, to cut down on the number of topics created.

That's why a search function exists, ¿no?, to stop the creation of 137 different threads about graphics cards or what-have-you.

Necro posting and bumping an thread to ask a question are not always the same thing. I did not witness what Aen bumped, so I cant say what he did, but in general necroposting is bumping an old outdated topic, for no reason but to bump it. They will say good point, hi, or another stupid phrase. Odds are also that several members of the SOE forum complain to get a mod's attention.

Now bumping an old thread to ask a related question is a good thing, but I also have no problem with people creating a new thread to ask a question that has been asked before, but not within the last couple of months or so.

if the game everyquest 2 bans you do they charge you?
i am trying to unsubscribe and they wont let me. sheesh. maybe if i do something awful i can get banned permanently?

In most MMO's I have played, if you get permanently banned you lose what you have paid, since you broke the contract. But if you pay month to month you would just lose the remainder of the month, since being banned the contract is broke, and further payments are not required.

Now you can cancel by going to the main site, and click the store, and enter your password and login. Under my subscriptions is a way to edit them, which has a cancel button. I doubt the refund unused time, but it should stop future billings.
