Hi everyone!! Remember the days when you were playing eq1 and there were tigers and wolves following players around? Those players were called beastlords, which brings me to my point.

WHERE IN THE HELL IS THE BEASTLORD? I always thought beastlord was one of the most popular classes and most useful as well. But for some reason SOE decided not to include them in eq2. I realize we can't magically will them back into the game, but if anyone from SOE reads this I say to you," BRING BACK THE BEAST!!"

I know you will eventually so you can ***** me out of another $29.99 but it would have been nice to be able to play one right off the bat.

I had a 49 BST in EQ1 and had a blast. I was also disappointed hearing there was not the same in EQ2, but this is a different game, so...

I also miss Levitation...

The closest thing you'll get to a pet class here is Conjurer/Necromancer, but you won't have the melee abilities of the BST. You also can't equip your pet with any gear to help it.

In EQ2, we get 3 types of pets at various levels, Mage/Fire, Tank/Earth, and Scout/Air. Each does it's roll every well since the revamp, and with spell upgrades, they get even more powerful.

In fact, we are even more similiar to BST's in that we have more pet buffs to choose from.

I agree, I loved playing Beastlords in EQ1. i will leave it at that otherwise I will get on my soapbox on how come SOE didn't use the best features of EQ1 in EQ2.

Bah beastlord sure they were fun.
And if they introduce a new class that backstabs, tanks, nukes, buffs, crowdcontrol etc, everyone will love it too but it is far from necessary in a game.
They will bring one of these superclass eventually to get more people from keeping their account active after another year or 2 but not before.
