You can only have 1 main pet out at a time. That will be your primary source of damage.

You will have other spells that will summon temporary pets to damage a particular mob during a fight, but they go away after the mob is dead. You main pet will stay with you as long as it is alive...or in your case...undead.

Pets are various, skeleton, zombie, shadowy guy, flesh golem (like the ones in Nek Forest). As you gain adventure levels or upgrade spells, it will change.

After level 50, you can have both charmed undead pet and normal pet up at the same time. As long as charm holds, you will have 2 pets. Also you can have splitpaw mushroom up all the time.

just wondering if conjurers (the good equivalent of necros) can have two pets after they reach level 50 also.

No - just like Necro's you will only be able to have 1 main pet at a time.

When you try to cast another pet, your first will dissapear. You must then click the Summon Pet spell again to get your pet of choice.

Sure, the other spells are called and produce "pets", but they are only temporary or do no damage. I'm sorry, but the mushroom is just a pest - too many times I got hung up on it when I turned around. Now I never use it.

Conjurers don't get a charm spell.

Check out the new pet appearances in the upcoming Live Update 18.
