Lack of Info?Follow

What is up with the lack of Information on the site proper? Every quest i've looked up the last three days as just been the base info, and usually not even that, just a link to the quest and then nothing... I've searched for dozens of items over the past few days and nothing has showed up on searchs and as far as i can tell don't even exsist in the data base. Is anyone gathering information? or no? Is there another site which may prove more knowledgable about random items and quests?

I really enjoy doing these quests but there are some that just stump me! I've spent years and years using Alla while playing EQ1 and its disappointing to see such a sad site for EQ2...

That is sad indeed.

Tutanbriarpaw went on an almost impossible crusade to get the quests to have more info in them, but sadly, one man alone can't do everything. Alla has roughly like 15 employees, and I think it is safe to say they had to make a choice and that WoW has been the winning bet.

Seems like the most used site like this one for Everquest 2 is ogaming, there is much more info in there.

Unfortunatly, there are too many items and quests out there being updated that one man/woman alone won't work. You just have to be patient and hope they get on it RIGHT AWAY!!!!!

So lets get hot! If each person updates mearly one quest per day, our progress will be...well...much better than it is now.

I don't use the "Submit" link, as that will take forever to get info in. I just open the quest and put all the info in a post. I usually title it as "Complete Info".

Keep in mind that you must use the Submit function to get a new item into the database. Posts can only update intems that are already in. I know that the tradeskill item database is significantly lacking.

I get data from where ever I can, but I'm also careful to pull only from other reputable web sites. I review other posts about the quest to see if any newer information has been provided, then cut and paste to here.

Since I have done many of the quests myself, I'm able to put a "learned-eye" on the data, making sure it makes sense.

Anyone can do it, so why don't we all?

No, I don't work for Alla, I just have been coming here for a long time, beginning with EQ1.
