I decided to see how this game was after quiting several months ago.

Anyway I have noticed they nerfed about every Waist, ring, and wrist item to have no mitigation. Well anyways I made a dark elf crusader. Needless to say I am non-twinked (as if you can be twinked as a fighter before 10 anyways). Well I am lvl 9 now have a full suit of crap armor and am trying to do my class quest. It basically involves going into a guilding and killing some mobs. Well I have tried 3 times now and every blasted time I try I get killed! I don't know what else to do. This is a solo quest so I can't get help. There is really no armor or weapon upgrades till I get 10 (which once again I can't do until I beat this crap).

Just seems like BS to me. How is a new player supposed to get past crap like this with all the restrictions SOe has in this game.

You can upgrade your spell to to at least Apprentice IV, and use HO's as much as you can.

Carefully take each mob one at a time.

I've done that quest and it's not a cake-walk. I think I died several times before I got all the upgrades I could, then I beat it.

I did the Qeynos crusader quest so not sure if I can advise or not. It also involved having to "sneak" into a building to take out a specific target. I also died the first time I did it.

Based on MY quest experience (and presuming it is relevant to the FP quest) - stick to the mission. Your job is to find and kill a target, do that and that only. Fight only what you must fight. There were some mobs that I did not need to fight - and especially a cook, as I recall, who was a serious bad*ss and handed me my head on his platter.

This is based on the storyline up to that point. As I recall, one thing the storyline says about crusaders is that they need to be smart about how they approach a fight - you aren't (officially) a tank and the storyline does differentiate that difference between the warrior career line and the crusader line.

Hope that helps.
