I'm brand new to EQ2, and i was just wondering what a popular/highly populated server was? Sorry if this sounds like a total newbie question.=/

When you make a new toon it shows you a list of servers and they will be marked where they are as far as pop. Don't know if there is a fav server over all of them.

Najena and AB are popular, among others.

When you go to select a server, like the above poster noted, see what the population load is. Be sure to make your selection based on the times you plan on playing. That way you will see the true server loads.

why would you want a high populated server. i am happy with my low populated server where i can forage all day long without a fight and never have to wait on camps. Plus i really dont get any lag except on really busy nights.

If you only want to solo... Then you will limited to the 30% content that is solo and yields solo drops.

The good loot comes from heroic and groups that give a bigger fight and drop bigger loot.

Forget doing most Heritage Quests, as they require a group also.
