Bad experienceFollow

Grrrr.....participated in my first raid tonight..(I know...I'm a slow learner!). Unfortunately it was a pickup group and after we were successful the main tank took off with the loot. How do these people live with themselves and, I wonder, is it a reflection of their RL behaviour?

Is this a common problem? I must say...it will be a while before I do that again.

Pick up raids/groups are something I never do. To many bad apples out there.

It's not common in my experience. Those losers get a bad reputation so fast they end up never getting groups again and hounded into leaving the game. I know this because even though it hasn't happened to me personally, I know who to avoid on my servers by name.

Pick up groups are iffy mostly because of people who don't know their role in a group, but that can be corrected with some friendly instruction.

If I go on a pick-up raid, I usually just go for the experience, not the loot. Or if I need a paticular quest mob to get, I'll be glad just to get credit for the kill.

It's always good before th eraid starts to verify the loot rules. NBG = Need Before Greed, what to do with Master books, etc.

In making many of the kills it's easy to tell what the settings are, and always keep a lookout for a message in your chat box, "Soandso has changed the group options."

If it ends up turn for the worst, then announce the unfiar settings and the unwillingness of the leader to change it...and leave.
