Joining EQII - need subclass helpFollow

#1 Aug 19 2005 at 9:15 PM Rating: Decent
Hey all. I'm swapping from WoW to EQII, and I was wondering what the best subclass is for soloability and DPS in the Scout archetype. I was thinking about a Brigand, a Swashbuckler, or a Ranger... I also am wondering what a good race is for them, that's not Wood Elf. I've played entirely too many elves, and Kelethin spoiled my time with Wood Elves. Thanks in advance to y'all.

Rangers have higher DPS than swashies/brigands (or at least they will after the upcoming combat overhaul), but both rogue classes have nice DPS as well. I'm not sure which is the best soloer. Rangers get better ranged combat arts (obviously) and more sneak attacks, while both rogues get more positional attacks.

Since any race can play any class, you can do whatever you want with race. Brigand is evil only, while the other two classes are good only, so if you pick a race of opposite alignment from your class, you'll have to do the betrayal quest. If you're just looking for races with high agility, halflings and half elves are pretty good...I think dark elves are too.

Hey, thanks a ton... I'm patching it right now, I have about 10 minutes left... I can't wait, the screenshots look so cool. I'm probably going to go with my original idea of Ranger. Thanks again!
