well i just got EQII today and now all i have to do is wait for my new computer coming in from dell :-/.

but i have chose to go RNG as a XP char, and if there is dueling or PvP which i dont know if there is i will probably make a new char for that or stick with RNG if hes good.

any server info would be cool to, i like to be on populated servers, not like in EQ where everyone is in one town, i hope its not like that lol, so if you want me to join your server so you can teach me the ways of EQII i'd be glad to, cya in the game :D.

I'm not sure if they've implemented the duel command on regular servers yet, but it is on the test server. PvP is coming in the next expansion, but it's a little different than usual. You fight in an arena, and you can fight as yourself (I think) or as one of several different Norrathian races.

The most populated servers are the roleplaying preferred servers, especially Antonia Bayle.

Yep, go for Antonia Bayle. Unless you are playing during primetime, even AB feels deserted.

Be aware that while all races can take any job they want, some jobs are restricted to either Freeport or Qeynos. i.e. Ranger is a Qeynos only job. And no sub-jobs either.

I do. I have the graphics turned relatively low, and in a few of the city zones lag can get annoying. In the adventure zones, though, it's not very laggy at all. So I'd say 512 is doable, though I don't know if everyone would agree with me. Smiley: smile

I don't claim to know much about computers. I could not sit there and have a technical talk with you. In fact, I usually don't even post when I see a tech question. These answers are for those far more knowledgable than I. I do know, however, that 512mb won't hold you down if have a great video card. If your video card is lacking, you will experience a lot of lag. I think it's important to note that all the city zones are laggy. I have above average everything on my comp, and I still experience some lag. Obviously, the more you boost your memory, the less laggy it becomes, but I think there will still be a minimal amount.

I played with 512 up until a few weeks ago when I doubled it. Had a lot of lag in the city areas specially QH.

But the main problem was in keeping up with other people. Even with sow I was always lagging back, holding people up and therefore getting lost.

And now the difference is just awesome Smiley: smile
