Ever notice that the last 2 levels of any crafting tier take the longgest time to get through....

All the subcombines are light blue or green and exp from them is virtually nothing. Final products give less then 3/4% of a point when you craft them and take forever to finish.

As a carpenter, I only get about 4-5 new recipes a level and at least one of them require a rare which few can afford. I am not complaining at all. I actually feel that I have accomplished something when I ding. However, my right hand starts to hurt after about 2 hours of constant clicking. Good thing my vitality bar stays close to 0. I hate crafting after loosing my vitality bonus.

Anyhoo, should ding 40 tonight since I only have 12% left to go. Been a long haul though. My hat is off to the level 50 crafters out there.

Yeah, the last couple levels in any tier are teh suxor! It can be the same with adventuring except at least there you have the option of moving on and beginning to hunt in your new zone... where once again, the XP will rock!

Pe-grats on the 40 dingage if it will make you feel any better!

Don't know if it works for other crafts but what I do is, in the first few levels of a new tier, just make so many subs your bags and boxes are busting at the seams.

Provisioners get mainly sub recipes for the first few levels of a new tier anyway.

Then for the last few levels of any tier, you'll be able to concentrate on making even con recipes Smiley: smile

Dinged level 40 Carpenter last night!!!

I agree with you Bluie. I plan on making stacks and stacks of subcombines for the 1st two levels. That way I have plenty of material to push through levels 43-46 or so. Trying to get as far as i can into tier 5 stuff before the expansion comes out.

There is going to be silly plat made to anyone who can master tier 6 tradeskill stuff. The sooner I can get there the better.

I also spend the first few levels making stacks and stacks of WORTS and refines from raws. I also make every new recipe to pristine once for the bonus exp, even if I'll never use the item - including the subcombine only skills (Geomancy, Weaving, etc.)

Then I get maximum experience for the subs and I have stacks of them ready to make finals when I'm at the upper end of the tier. Being in a guild, I also do Tradeskill writs for the Ironforge Exchange. (Oh, how I wish they would accept pristine and not just shaped. The only good thng about that is I can make a stack of 10 for the writ without having to stop to regen.) On top of the atatus, writs pay a good bit more than it costs you to make items if you harvest yourself or get lucky with cheap raws on the broker.

Also, make sure you craft naked, turn off any power increasing buff and use good drink. Downtime is greatly reduced.
