hey guys, i just started the game.. and i started in freeport... i got a note from derek on the starting island, tells me to meet with tradeskill delegate in freepor, where can those be found? i want to make armor as a tradeskill... thanks!!
Each starting town has a wholesaler society (it is the only one that will let you in when you are just starting out). Inside the wholesaler society, keep running down the stairs until you see the broker. Standing next to the broker is the tradeskill delegate.
Depending on your starting village, you need to seek out:
Ring of Wanderlust (Beggar's Court)
Ransacker's Annex (Big Bend)
Dark Bargainers (Longshadow Alley)
War Hagglers (Scale Yard)
Brokerage of Nepeta Cataria (Stonestair Byway)
Circle of Vaniki (Temple Street)
I hope I didn't forget any!

thank you very much :]... so each starting spot, you're only allowed to join that one? like i cant run to another spot in freeport to join them?
Not unless you quit the society you are in.
If you want to join another shop in another zone, that's fine...only one wholesale shop at a time though.
My fury lives in Longshadow Alley, but she's a member of the Big Bend shop. Big Bend is lighter and more open then Longshadow...I actually want to move to Big Bend permanently, but haven't gotten around to it.
Once you hit level 10 and choose a primary profession, you'll get to join one more society, but it will be a workshop. There are 3 in every suburb, but only one of those 3 will accept you...the one that is associated with your profession.
