Travel from Qeynos to Freeport QuestionFollow

#1 Aug 03 2005 at 11:05 AM Rating: Decent
I want to travel to FP from Qeynos with a lower level character ( like 13) without doing the betrayal quest. I want to go there for a bit and be able to go back. Is this possible? How do I get to FP from Q? Looking for guidance.

Two words: Good luck! You have to run through some pretty hardcore zones that will eat you alive if you are not careful. You do not have to do the betrayal quest in order to get to FP, but you will not be able to enter the city proper. You will just be asked to leave. You can visit the commonlands which the evil counterpart of Antonica.

I don't know the exact route on how to get there, but I'm sure someone else will.

If you can afford it, stop by the broker and get yourself a Spirit Totem of the Wolf. It will help you run faster.

Antonica > Thundering Steppes > Nektulos Forest > Commonlands > Freeport

In TS, run south along the path and go between the mountains along the path to the pier.

Take the Nektulos Forest Bell.

This will be your most dangerous zone with high level agro. Stay on the road as much as possible to avoid agro. In Nek, run straight down the pier onto the beach and over the hill. This will take you to the Hidden Beach Path and into the forest.

Hug the right wall, it will lead you to the Commonlands zone gate.

In Commonlands, run into the zone to the first Griffon tower and go to the Freeport Station.

If you want to get inside the city from underground, run to the southeast side of the map to The Sprawl, then to Serpent Sewer. Those are sewers similiar to the Down Below in Qeynos that can lead you to all the Freeport city zones.

Good luck and run fast.

EDIT: I misread the post and actually first posted directions from Freeport to Qeynos. doh!

Here's a good maps site. Here's ...links not getting placed properly...

I think he was looking for opposite directions, though. He wants to go from Qeynos to FP. So, Mongo, just do the steps in the opposite order.

The run is easy just watch the agro as far as the city you can get in to any part of the city just not thru the fron door.
If you want into FP then go thru the graveyard, if your going into Qeynos go thru the Bog. It can be done.

Thanks for clearing that up because, obviously, I was under the impression you could not get into any parts of the main city, but you could get into the outerlying cities.

It is a very scarry trip. I am not sure about doing it at level 13. I have done the betrayal twice and run the route twice at level 15. Just don't stop for anything. You will be chased all the way through Nektulos. I would suggest that you "run forrest run!"

Now to recant what I just said. Be watchful. Most mobs wander so you might be able to wait until they move before running through a stretch of mobs. The big problem would be that the mobs you passsed might wander back into your aggro range.

Once you get to Freeport most everything you need is found in the Comonlands. I discovered a neat little trick last time I was there. I always found myself with too much copper, silver, and loot. I was able to mail the stuff to my alternate character. You can't mail from evil to good characters but you can mail from good to good characters. The mailbox is next to the bird tower. You still need to pay the mailing charges. I always make out like a bandit.

My advice would be to find and group with a friendly 25+ scout.
Evac in TS takes you to the dock and Evac in Nek takes you to the Commonlands zone.

That takes all the risk out for sure :) The guards will only throw you out of the city , so you can try over and over.
