Hmmm...that is a tough one. A few questions for you to make the choice easier:

1. Do you prefer a game with excellent graphics or a game with amazing graphics?

2. Would you rather get into a game that is very established or a game that is, by all means, relatively new? The economy in EQ1 is pretty much where it is going to stay. The economy in EQ2 is just getting under way and things are fluctuating from day to day.

3. There are more detailed websites for EQ1 because, obviously, it has been around a while, so it easier to find information. By the same token, I prefer a game where I can get in on the ground floor. Which interests you?

EQ2 is getting updates almost every single day. Eventually, IMHO, it is going to be the #1 MMORPG. Post your answers to the questions and we will see if we can help you.

In their defense, though, there are a lot of pages in this forum and no search option.

Having played both games extensively, EQ 2 is my preference by leaps and bounds. But, you can always buy both and get a all access account and try them both for yourself for one price.
