just to say before hand i havent played eq2 yet but i am getting it here shortly anyways whats the deal with the frogloks do you really have to do a quest to unlock them or what? and if so is it hard and how fast can you get a char from lvl 1 to get to the right lvl to do it then get it done hopefully its not to hard i will be sad if i cant have my froglok like always and btw yeah i did look around other forums and could find anything so i just posted my own thanks all for the help ^_^
There are two ways to unlock frogloks...the quest you do on your own, or the server unlock quest. The server unlock quest requires a level 50ish raid and unlocks frogs for the entire server. Most servers have already done this quest...the ones that haven't are the station exchange servers, Lucan D'Lere, and Oggok.
The solo unlock quest requires you to kill level 30 mobs, so you'd have to be around that level to solo it, or a little lower to group. It does take quite a bit of time to reach 30, especially on your first character, so I'd just pick a server with frogloks unlocked.

Do they now? Man, that means Oggok is the last one to do the quest...I want my frog already!

I've done the beginning, easy part, but my highest level characters are the ones in my signature, which eliminates soloing. :( I could try getting a group, but it would likely be hard to find one to help out a level 24, especially since the froggie rush is past. Someday I'll reach 29 or 30 and just do the silly thing myself.

Not true! We don't have it yet either, my friends been trying trust me.
Why are my frogs unlocked? I have not done the quest yet, and I have the froglok as a selectable race. One day I was on and there were no froggies as a creatable character, only a question mark. The next day *poof* they were there. I assumed someone had unlocked the froggies server wide. My friends experienced the same thing. Weird.

You'll always be able to select a froglok. You can even design your own if you want. However, when you enter the server select screen, if you select a server where frogs haven't been unlocked, it will say something like "This character cannot be created on this server."
Ahhh...I see. That is just odd. (refer to my prior post) I guess Lucan does not have them unlocked. Good! I better get to 50 so I can do the quest! I want to be the one who releases them!
