Without meaning to whine, is there going to be anything done to help melee characters against the Splitpaw Champion? From what I have been hearing, it is much harder for a melee-type to beat him than a caster-type.

Am I doing something wrong? I havent been able to beat him yet...and I've only gotten him down to 40% health. A guildie says he has beaten him a couple times...but then again he is a SK several levels higher than me.

Any advice would be helpful...

Well as a warlock i assure you he uses the beat the hell out of me just by using fulginous sphere a couple time, contamination and grey wind. I lasted maybe 3 rounds and he never meleed me.

I hear they have changed him in a patch recently, but hes far away out of my mind, i never fight too strongly against stupid things like that, just remembers me of the old EQ1 quest where the goal was to spawn 40 level 50 character in a level 15 zone to slay everyone until a big band of uber character came to kill them.

And i got offed by the normal difficulty champion, cant imagine how anyone could ever have beaten the high difficulty one
