Big fun in the tradeskill instanceFollow

#1 Jul 28 2005 at 5:27 AM Rating: Decent
I had a ball tradeskilling tonight! More fun than I've had in quite a while, and it was with a lvl 8 artisan. What I did was to run the new tradeskill quest and man, was it cool!

You start by finding the new NPC in your local TS instance. Buy the note from him, read it and leave the instance or leave and then read it... (doesn't matter which order you do those in)...

Now back into the instance for the update telling you to visit the guy again. Hail him and you will begin a series of tradskill quests during which, between sub-combines and finals, you will hit just about every machine in the place!

He will ask you to make;

white tea (provisioner)
poison - vengence of the fallen (alchemist)
spell - arcane bindings (sage)
tin throwing axes (weapon smith)
rawhide skullcap (tailor)
round elm shield (woodworker)
elm chair (carpenter)
and a malachite ring (jeweler)

after each turn-in, he will pay you a little coin (enough to keep you going) and after most steps, the next recipe book - free! (you'll get all of them from 3 - 9 by the time you're done). He doesn't ever take the items you've crafted for him so you can sell them or keep them. He doesn't specify quality and will accept any version you make.

Near the end of the quest (part 6?) he gives you a 10 slot bag that will only hold raw harvest materials... still, it's a free 10 slot bag! After the last step is completed, he gives you a new chest piece that is +1 to each tradeskill.

By the time I finished, I had a lvl 11 scholar. And some cool stuff!

If you haven't taken the time to learn tradeskilling, this should be all the incentive you need! Enjoy!
