A neat idea...Follow

I just thought of someting every EQII player has probably thought of...how cool would it be if you could own a griffon as a mount and means of transportation? I mean one you can actually control instead of it being an NPC. Of course, they would cost a lot. but if the flying carpet can't really fly, we should be able to have something that can.

What would make the idea even more interesting is if, like pallies at 20, griffons could be a summoned mount, also. I would pay about 100pp to have my very own griffon. That would be so unbelievably cool! And, if you purchased one, you could ride him into battle and you would get an added combart art skill that said "Claws of Ravaging" as a bonus and you could chain together an HO with him.

/sigh

If only...

Well the deal is the griffens don't fly eather they just have a track they follow so it looks like they fly but really don't. Works like a hidden road in the sky.

Thats why the follow the same "path" everytime and why carpets don't don't fly eather.
