That is a upgrade to the spell. Go to the broker and look for spells being sold, or just craft your own.

You should always keep your spells upgraded as much as possible, expecially the ones you use frequently. Don't waste time buying the App2 spells from the vendors, they are not that much better.

Good place to level is Oakmyst Forest. The mobs are plentiful and quickly respawn. Stop by Castleview Hamlet before going there to pick up some quests.

EDIT: To clarify, the Spider is a Adept 1 version of the spell, which a loot drop. You may find your own while adventuring, or for sale at the broker. If you craft your own, you will still have a beetle.

spider is either adept 1 which is dropped and you will buy at broker.. Or it is an adept 3 spell which is a player crafted spell that will require a tier 2 rare. and someone to craft if for you if you don't do it yourself.

and to do it yourself you have to have a crafter of the right level and the advanced book for adept 3's in tier 2 which is also dropped by mobs that you will need to buy if you want to craft it..
