Some questions from a new player.Follow

Sorry to bug, but I'm trying to not mess up horribly with my first character like I did on World of Warcraft and FFXI, so I'd like to get a few things out of the way.

First off, how important is it that I work on upgrading spells and armor through crafting/buying, and does the importance increase with level? I'm only a lv 10 Druid at the moment.

Secondly, and this is just for my own personal comfort, does anyone know of any PCI (not PCI express.. I don't think..) based video cards with better graphics than a Radeon 9200? (I own a Visiontek Xtasy 9200, and I want to upgrade, but I don't want an entire new tower.) And for this game, would upgrading from 512mb ram to 1 gig make a lot of difference?

(It's kind of sad that I own a Pentium 4 who was just a month away from getting built with an AGP slot, but I digress..)

Next, is doing the lower-leveled quests in Qeynos at all worth it for me, or should I just head out to Antonica or the higher-leveled parts of the zones and start finding quests for them?

Lastly, any tips on making money, and is 20s poor for a level 10?

Thanks for any help!

At level 10 you should've already done all the quests you can get from the villages as they give you armour, money and experience, apart from being a ton of fun Smiley: smile

However it's never too late to do a quest, even if the mobs are grey, you'll still get the rewards and experience.

Like all games, keeping your armour and spells updated is important and will impact how easy you find it.

My tip for making money, is do every quest you can find Smiley: grin

Yes, do all the quests in the city. Level 10 isn't exactly too low to be out in Antonica, but you may do better by doing as many quests in the city as you can. I've got a lvl 14 in Qeynos, and she's only left the city twice.

Besides, there are a lot of quests you can get in Qeynos that you can fill inAntonica so the two aren't exactly mutually exclusive.

...one more tip...

Go to Oakmyst Forest through the bell at the docks.

The mobs are plentiful, quickly respawn, and there are several harvesting nodes.

Pick up a few quests in Castleview Hamlet before going there, that way you can get bonus goodies.
