mage weaponsFollow

what weapons can mages use other than staffs? can they use any kind of sword or axe at all?

My summoner has the crushing and piercing skills. I haven't experimented much with it, but I would assume piercing allows you to use things like daggers. (EQ1 int casters could use daggers as well.) Sword and axe are both slashing weapons, so you can't use them. Mages aren't really meant to stand up front and hack into their enemies anyway.
