baby dragonFollow

hah sorry for all the questions (i just made a really long post) but this one thing is kind of bothering me: I got the baby dragon with my deluxe edition. For some reason I can't take the little dude out anywhere but my house. Now I know the dragons are pets that can attack, so they must be able to be taken out into the wild with me. How do I do this? When I right click on the egg in my inventory outside my house it says "examine" "destroy" or "window settings".

Thanks in advance.

The dragon is a house pet.. it is not a pet you take places. It must remin in your house. With the upcoming expansion they will have other uses but right now it is for you to look at

Are you serious? But it has commands such as "petattack" and "petbackoff" so are they just useless? And with this new expansijon, will my current dragon be able to go out into the world with me or will I have to buy a new one?

They're the same type of pets as the baby panda or cockroach in WoW. Pet Attack is for Conjuror or Necro pets.

In the Splitpaw Sage you can get a little mushroom guy as a reward who I've seen following someone around out in the world at large.

Here's a little info on the PvP setup from Gamespy.com:

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see Maj'Dul's most promising feature -- the PvP arena -- in action, but we did get some more info as to how it will work. If you saw the E3 video, then you witnessed how players will be able to assume the forms of various creatures in order to do battle within it. Apparently, when assuming these forms, players' actual adventuring levels won't come into effect, making these sorts of "champion battles" more of a separate game within EQII's nascent PvP system. Players will be able to acquire different champions by several methods: the most common ones will be available from NPC merchants, while others will be quest rewards. The rarest ones, meanwhile, will be dropped by enemies. Of course, players will be able to engage in more conventional PvP matches, using their actual adventuring levels, but we didn't get much info regarding the types of events that will on offer. Our host did tell us that full-on PvP servers were in the works for EQII, however, so all you stone-cold killers out there, take heart.

House pets have a set of commands you can access via right click. The pet commands you listed are for the Summoner subclass and for anyone that wins the Splitpaw areana. Only pets that can follow you around will use those commands. Baby dragons and most other pets that aren't summoner based are house pets only.

In the expand the pet will not follow you around. You will take it and use it in the areana only. Along with varoius other pets and things. It is mostly a status symbol.

Do a /claim and it should be one of the items to be claimed. Remember only one of your characters can have the baby dragon so make sure you have it on a Char you are going to keep. I made that mistake and now my dragon isnt even on a server I play on anymore.
