pink squares & yellow tu tusFollow

I just thought I would share my posting from the Sony site here with the good peeps at Alla. I read a reply to the below posting and someone thought it was a glitch with their graphic card when they saw someone encased in the pink square. That person rebooted the system to eliminate the problem. It's not your card but a bugged item. It would nice to think that Sony will fix it but that will probablly not be until I have outgrown my new weapon.

>>>>>I am not sure if this is where I want to post this. I have reported this bug in game once. Should I continue to report it until it is fixed?

I got my lvl 20 class weapon, Arrell's Sword of Song, for my Bard. The graphic for it is a little green bug. When I use the weapon it encases my Bard in a pink square. I am not the only one to see this pink square. At first I think it was some developers quirky sense of humor. I have been told since that it is a bug and needs attention. Sony, please fix this. It is really disappointing to finally complete the class quest to only receive a broken weapon.

If everything is still functional I would probably find it funny.... For about 5 mins then the color pink would bother me. Maybe you should change colors :D.

I have a 20 Troubador with that very weapon. When I go into combat, a pink square appears on my back and there is nothing in my hand.

The weapon still does damage, as far as I can tell from the orange numbers that float up.

I've sent in a bug report as well.

OMG ! The now legendary pink cube is back !!! I havent seen this bug in a long time.

That bug always made me laugh. I never experienced it on my toon but i recall a friend of mine being stucked with it. I couldnt help but laugh. After all, you dont see many Barbarian Zerkers running around with no weapon and only a pink cube as protection. :)

I didnt knew the bug was back. Those that are stucked with it should all report it so that Sony can fix it like they did back then.

Yes, it is back. I find it so annoying that I went back to using a whip and a short sword. I really like the animations that go along with combat. My Bard is a dark elf female. I have noticed something else that is very odd looking. A couple of times right after combat she does this very strange looking animation in which she throws her head up and shivers in what looks very much like an orgasim.

So I have a choice it now seems? Pink squares or orgasims? It really is very funny and once again I am not the only one to see this. I had my guildies rolling in hysterics over her fighting with her whip and then ...

I always knew DE fem's were freaks Smiley: inlove

As far as the pink square, I was running around the other day and saw a chanter with a bright pink cube for a head. I found it rather humerous.

I'm happy to report and update that the Troubador class weapon icon has been fixed (not like a dog), and the pink square has disappeared.

All songters rejoice!

Another happy note...was running through TS last night heading to find Octogorgon in Cove Of Decay, the /ooc channel was doing it's usual scrolling. All of the sudden a long /ooc pops up, which caught my eye. A group was looking for a tank to help them take down a particular mob. But the request was in a 4-line rhyming lymeric that was in very good taste. I right-clicked the name of the sender and, sure enough, it was a Troubador.

There was a few moments of silence in the /ooc channel, followed by a small flood of comments...all positive, many thanking him for his quick song that obviously gave some smiles.

Not more than a minute later, the Troubador came back on /ooc in another 4-line rhyming lymieric, saying thanks for the comments, but they still need a tank. :)

Mighty nice.
