I read that there is a combat update coming up shortly but I can not get to the official forums at work to go and see what it is. Does anyone have any information on this. Last I heard is that it was spose to hit test servers on the 13th.
moorgard posted that shortly after the live update hit the test servers they would be looking at putting the combat changes on there as well. don't expect it for a few more weeks and once it hits test to be a month + before going live.
There is nothing "offical" about the combat revamp. They did list the new dps pecking order and have tid bits here and there about class changes.. like ward changes.. and changes the way armor effects your avoidance. etc..

One thing that did slip through the cracks in the SP update was the Conj/Necro pets combat update that wasn't due for a few weeks. Basically it gave pets more hps, ac and combat dps, but stopped them scaling by tier. SOE hasn't explained this properly, but the Adept3 version of a pet is still better than the App1, so I'm not sure what was suppposed to happen with removing the tier scaling effect.
Does anyone have hard #'s on this yet. Other Conj/Necro sites still don't it seems.

It wasn't a slip it was a unintended glitch. That they so kindly have left in till the combat update. NOt only did they say it was a glitch but if you have seen the new dps charts and have any info on the tank changes you will know the necro pets are going to change around.
The glitch removed the down arrow on the pets. This gave more hp.. higher auto attack. more types of special attacks and better defense. The figther pets got the best of the glitch( they where the best pets to begin with)
Do not get use to this as the caster pets are to be the higher dps of the pets.. auto attack damage on the tank arch type is being lowered and expect varous other changes as well.
And by tier they mean that the adept 3 and adept 1 are of the same skills etc.. not sure that is true but that is what they said.
Expect a massive nerf to the necro pet... They where a good class before( i have a necro) and have greatly become over powered since the glitch.
