of down-rating posts has come alive on the main page here. As you know, you can adjust the filter setting at the top of the forum to determine what is seen...or not seen.

The Admin post concerning the week of ad-free service has sparked many to post for or against what is happening.

The strange thing is, all the adverse posts...meaning, the ones that do not support this web site...have been mysteriously down-rated to the lowest possible.

Sure, anyone can change the filter setting to make them viewable, but that is not the issue.

I don't care about rate-score, but I do care about shady practices.

I certainly hope the admins are not flood-rating posts to slip them under the default filter. Oh, that's right...anyone can down-rate....

So why do I stay here, you ask? Probably because Alalkazam was the mainstay for my time in EQ1. I never had a reason to go to any other web site. Plus, I've grown accustomed to the forums and community. I expected similiar good things from Alakazam for EQ2, and was patient and even supportive about the lacking databases when others were berating Ala.

However, it seems with the slow passing of time, I am drawn away from here to other places...

Maybe I am missing something but at least in the General Discussion when I Switched to never filter nothing new showed up for topics even after refresh.

My filter setting on the front-page article for Ad-Free Week was default. After logging in today, I didn't see my posts (because they had been down-rated). I had to change the filter setting to "never filter" for them to show up.
