Ok, so I starting playing EQ2 at launch, well technically a day before lanuch. I played it for bout 2 months, and got to level 34pal. I left because it was bland, generic, boring, and everyone looked the same.

Well after trying a few MMOs after my leave from EQ2..lets just say not much kept my intrest. So now I'm itchin to play an MMO now since I am an MMO freak....but, has the game improved? I mean have they fixed the crafting? The repetitive armor models? The skills? And most of all, the items. Or is it the same?

Any feedback would be appriciated!

Well the game as improved alot in many way, there is alot more solo content now, as for crafting alot have changed also, now as for armor model i cannot say it might also depends on the setting your playing.

The new adventure pack as brough alot of new chalenge to the game, one thing is sure, EQ2 as alot more to offer than most game out there, expecially if you seek a game that will kepp your interest for a long time. If you like to group in mmorpg, stick to eq2.

And another thing that the splitpaw saga brough is a bigger availability of the different adept 1 spells. Helps alot.

People still look about the same armor wise. About any lvl 45 to 50ish caster you see will have the purple robeMy problem with the game is it is so restrictive. I have started playing eq1 again. I think there is too many Access quests in eq2, too many armor/weapon restrictions, and simply not enough places to hunt. Its like lvl 10 to 19 your just about forced to hunt antonica, then 20 to 28ish your forced to hunt TS. Then you can choose between Zek and Enchanted lands, after of course you have done the access quests that require a group.

It is getting better in some aspects, but I just don't feel challenged in eq2. I mean in eq1 I get armor upgrades I can feel proud for saving up for it and such. Very few items in eq2 have any value because they are only useable for a few levels. I can understand the need to not let lvl 1 charactors equip alot of the lvl 50 items, but they just restrict it too much.

Fronglo, I agree, there are not many places. But since the game is still young, I hope that adventure packs will add to that over time.

When I started EQ1 it had already been through 3 years of adventure packs, so there was lots for me to do. I felt sorry for those that played from launch...probably bored.

What particularly irks me about EQ2 armor is the fact that the Very Light is not class restricted. Meaning, anyone can wear it while Mages cannot wear other types of armor. The Robe of the Invoker comes to mind with it's regen abilities.
