It sucks to be a summoner on the Grob serverFollow

I have no clue why, but the summon spells are outrageously overpriced on the Grob server, sometimes hitting around 6g. Being that most of these spells are for people around lvl 11-17, whats the deal with that. It's hard enough finding a party when you don't have too many helpful abilities, but do you also have to be an expert salesmen too?

Same thing on my server too. From what I've heard, it's the same or worse on most servers. People realize the summoner upgrades are really useful, so they sell them for outlandish prices. Some idiot was trying to sell an adept I the other day for something like 15gp. I've been using my swashie, who is a 17 scholar, to make app IVs for my little summoner alt. But since I don't plan to be a sage, I hope the prices get cheaper when my summoner hits tier 3. :)

heh, I planned ahead to get around the greedy schemes of the large-scale sellers and actually became a scholar after posting that first message. So now all I gotta do is find dionoid regent or something and I can charge those cheap ******** prices they can't afford for adept 3 fighter and scout spells.

I think you may see some of the pets spells come down in prices over the next few weeks. The Splitpaw patch has now stopped pets from scaling by tier, so the app2 version of a pet spell is pretty much as good as Adept3. The upside is that pet damage was increase along with pet hps, but tier increase seems to be just for look now.

I have noticed some tanking ability increases from my pets (all Adept3), but my guildy friend has no problems with his app4 pets either. Odd, and kind of ridiculous, but what can you do.

Most of the price gouging from Summoner spells is also from the influx of froggy players. Give it a few weeks, and prices should become more resonable. Remember to check the broker everyday also. Those outrageous prices are only the lowest prices that people won't buy them for. After a few days with them not selling, most people will lower the price just to clear vault space.

You can make the reagent yourself...provided you have the rare tradeskill book with the recipe in it, and the rare ore that the book requires to make the reagent. The books are hard to find (because everyone working on rares needs the book with rare subcomponents), and rare ore is ridiculously expensive. So it may be easier to try to gouge people by selling app IVs. :)

Yea it is mainly the lower level adepts that are so high. All my adepts at lvl 40+ have been very affordable.
