Wow. Went into the unlocked zones of splitpaw saga with 2 other guildies yesterday, a level 46 SK, a lvl 50 wizzie and me, a 47 templar. We had a blast ! I think this adventure pack is WAY better than the first one. We didnt had time to see it all, as it seems bigger than the first one was. You start out in the upper caves, where most of the population, well at least for 3 ppl, is targetting as solo (except for those humanoid mushroom to the left). After getting the little quests we ventured further into the cave to find the entrance to the lower caves. Thats where the zone stops being instanced as we saw a lot of other ppl there. There are some gnolls NPC there that gives quests that are related to various places in the lower caves and there are many terraporters for those various places, some are solo, some are heroic and there is even an epic one, that one you can only enter when you gained the respect of the gnolls there. Not sure how to do that yet, prolly by completing all the quests or beating their champion out in the arena, or both. Anyways, as far as ive seen so far, there is plenty of fun for everyone, you being a soloist, duoist, grouping maniac or raiding fan. The heroics zones seem to be doable just 3 ppl that know what they are doing. We went into the crawlers nest and went a good way in, but i fell in what we realized too late was a ring event and spiders kept popping on me :( But heck, it was fun !
Hehehehehehehe just my 2 cp. I really like the zone so far and i suggest you give it a try if you can afford it. Guildies and i are going back down there tonite again :)
Have fun !

Thx for the comments, I thought that I had to gain the trust of the gnolls, and was getting frustrated, as a low level player. With a full group, we wern't able to even get close to the area that that 'gain faction' quest sends you.

This heartens me, to think that I can experiance much of the pak, without having to complete the 'trust of gnolls' quest.

thanks,

MMORPGjunkie.

When I played this during the pre-order stage I was pretty displeased with it. However Now that it is live it really is pretty decent. I think $8 is still too much, however I recently got the station pass so this was included. The exp was awesome with me and my paladin friend. Played around for about a hour and a half and managed to ding 50 and get about 10gold in loot.

I wish I could play splitpaw. I pre-ordered and claimed my darken shard. Then did Develing into Darkness part on release and got my slightly glowing shard. Journal updated to the learn more part but that was it. The shards didn't merge and I can't figure out how to continue. Did I miss something? Am I brain dead or is this screwed up?

You now go to the Sundered Splitpaw Entrance in southwest TS.

Entrance puts you in a instanced zone where you find and find your way through the upper levels.
Warning: If you are solo, stay to the right when you enter. Groups can go to the left.

You will need to find and use explosive barrels to access tunnels to get to the lower level.

The lower level is a non-instanced area where everyone can meet. There are other instanced zones for solo, group, or raid. There is also a mender/vender. So if you brought your own food, you could stay there for a while.

For solo, I recommend you go to the instanced Solo Arena and fight the mobs. You will get a nice trophy as a reward.

If you have a group, try the instanced Group Arena.
