So any fighter below 5th does not have taunt. Million dollars please TheDakster.

You could always join the group then immediately die and give them debt then camp.

Hah... You think getting group invites without speaking is bad? Today I got A GUILD INVITE from someone who I have never even spoken to/ grouped with. FYI clan was Lolipop Gnomes on Nektulos server. But c'mon people that is just outrageous.

I know someone who has gotten several random guild invites, and I've gotten a "Hi there, want to join my guild?" once. No clue why that happens...my guild invited a couple of people who just came up and said "Can I join your guild?". We learned our lesson; pretty soon the guild changed their policy to "no more inviting people we've never grouped with."
Someone randomly invited me to join their group the other day, and I declined. A minute later, I get a tell saying "why?". Now, that annoyed me slightly...if they don't want to talk to me first, then I don't want to give a reason for not joining.
Oh, and then there was the guy who got mad because my mage wouldn't group with him and cure his plague...Smiley: lol

Oyh! I think I would gladly welcome someone asking my why I turned down their fly-by group invite. It would give me the opportunity to tell them exactly why I think the practice ir rude.

I've been getting random fly-by guild invites too... mostly when I'm on the warden but I've also gotten a couple with the ranger.

Since this syndrome seems to have spawned in the last month or so, it could be the effect of the younger player base now that school is out.

I hate it when one of these pops up while I'm mid-fight and engaged solo against a yellow or orange mob. I always feel like shooting off a tell asking them if they even realized that I was fighting a mob at the time.

I also feel like asking them how they could possibly know that they want me in their guild... since we've never grouped or even spoken!

I am of a mind to create a special macro that contains lines and lines of text explaining why I think they are idgits. How many lines of text can we do in EQII? What do you think I should say in the macro?

Hey Blue, do you still play EQ? Did I catch in one of your other posts that you play(ed) on the Tholuxe Paelis (now Bertoxx) server?

I still play EQ now and then, although EQ2 takes up most of my gaming hours. But when I do, I am located on Povar, (nee Morden Rasp), where I am proud to be listed as an officer and founding member of Aude Sapere.

OK, now is when it starts to get really weird!

Last night, I finished up adventuring and ran back to the bank in Willow Wood to clean out my bags and while standing there, I got yet another fly-by guild invite.

I decline, but then figure that now is as good a time as any to ask the source of the invite what he's thinking since I'm only banking and there is little danger of gaining aggro from the teller!

So, I send him a tell asking how he could possibly know that he wants to have me as a member of his guild.

And, here's the weird part... what follows is a lengthy, rational and intelligent conversation. Not at all what I had expected!

The "inviter" turns out to be one of the guild's leaders and he and the bulk of the membership are adults. Not only that but the guild is fairly large and level 20+ so they are in no danger of losing their charter.

Bottom line is that even after that rocky beginning, I am coinsidering joining the guild. Who'da thunk it!
