Rangers and soloingFollow

I'm a lev 21 Ranger and can solo decently. Now I can't do much two levels up from me..say,a Level 23 is a bit tough. Do you use poison on your arrows? I use Mordant Goo or something similar. Without that,the arrows don't do much damage. But WITH it,sometimes on a good hit I can knock out a mob with one double arrow shot! But ya gotta make sure all your armor is up to snuff. Get the highest possible everything,with alot of +'s associated to it. I got most of mine from mobs. Got necklaces,earrings,bracelets all with high +'s plus I keep on top of my combat skill ratings. Keep them as high as possible,to the Adepts if you can get em. Eat the right food and drink to keep energy and power levels up. With the Ranger,you got to do alot of thinking and preparing I've found. find the best spot to shoot from,one where you don't get aggroed from behind or nearby. Use the right shots for high DPS. Get plenty of arrows. Use the range,then nail em with HO's. Use that power up to get the mob to low levels in power,then just let melee work unless the mob is running YOU very low. It's not easy,but I'm doing pretty well really. Rangers are best in groups I think....maybe others have diff opins. But I play mostly solo and don't do too bad....do you double wield or use shield? Keep your weaponry as high as poss. I use double wield,two weapons giving dual hits. But poison use is a MUST!
