I hit a wall at level 30 but I have soloed that far. If you don't mind getting 0.1% xp per kill, 1000 kills a level and 1 min fight per kill, then soloing is viable. Of course, i'm speaking from the perspective of a fury not a paladin.

Just quest and don't rush if you're going to solo. If you're of the mindset of getting to 50 as quick as possible, forget it. It isn't gonna happen soloing.

Ok on this note I will fill in for the palidan side. I have pretty much soloed most of the game getting help with things once and a while and i am currentally lvl 43.

As a pali it is a very soloable job with good heals, tanking ability good dps with a combonation of divine magic and wepons. Currentally at lvl 43 I can still solo green group mobs with ease sometimes blue group mobs also, Can usally handle large adds also like 12 mobs really liking me vs the main tank lol. It will take a bit though with some patience the crawl from lvl 25 to 30 will take a bit but after that the real fun begins. With the ability to nuke with heavy armor on is great just pick a class that has pretty good agi and sta and the base for your spells is wis. I do hope this feedback helps ya out.

I have soloed my SK 90% of the time, the 10% I do group is for HQ and mobs I need that I want drops from.

My SK is 30% from 47th and I can still get 1 to 2% on solo kills. I would say some class's are better for soloing but yes you can solo to 50 np and it wouldn't take to much longer then grouping.

Seems to me it takes forever to get exp with a group sometimes and if u have a group get owned then there is the exp debt that u get from that. So you then get 50% less exp from working that off.

slightly off topic i know, but by FAR the best way to level is by killing group mobs in a group of three, a tank, a healer and a dps class.

find some nice group mobs (if you can find some ^^ mobs a level or 2 under ur tanks level, the exp will fly!) at level 38 (as the tank) with a 36 templar and a 34 conjuror (at the time) we killed the ^^ bandits in rivervale which are ranged between level 35 and 36 and we were making around 50 - 60% a night till i hit level 40 (we would camp for about 2 hours a night)

awesome exp! the only thing that slowed us down was running out of vitality =p

Don't solo just by grinding on mobs - do quests and instances.

I'm getting 5 - 10% of a level running through the pre-order Splitpaw instance, plus a lot of loot. I got 10% experience doing the Thundering Steppes creature catalog at 28 - and that was dead simple since they nerfed all the outdoor group mobs.

Get every quest you can. Often quests will overlap, and are repeatable, so you may as well get all of them you can and add the experience and rewards you get to what you got for simply killing. I've had 3 different quests all running at the same time to kill fairies in Enchanted Lands, and 2 more for badgers. EL seems particularly good for questing.

I find the same sort of thing to be the case in TS. There are 5 or 6 NPCs that will give you repeatable quests to kill random mobs. There is plenty of overlap in level range and mob type so you can easily have 2 or 3 going at one time, often for the same mob!

Right now, I have 2 guys asking me to kill sirens, a guy that wants some large crabs and someone who has a grudge against antelope! Oh yeah... and someone has me out killing lions too!

Add to this the Far Seas reqs and the chest drop quests for undead, giants, centaurs, gnolls etc. and you could probably level from 20 to 30 without ever killing an unrequested mob!

(edit - cause I forgot about the lions!)
