Hi all,

Just started playing, my husband also plays and I joined the guild he's in. Unfortunately he and all his guild are in the Army and gone on training for a week so i have to stumble along on my own until they get back. I have just a few questiond I was hoping someone could help me out with :

Does it matter from which part of Qeymos I enter Antonica? For example - if I enter Antonica from Willow Wood does it put me somewhere different than if I went from the Harbor? If so, then where's the low lvl place to go?

How do I put things in the vault in my room so I can sell merchandise without being logged in and in my room? I've figured out how to sell while I'm standing in my room...however its hard to gain exp while standing in your house.

Who do I get writs from? My husband told me to get writs to help the guilds standing, but for the life of me I can't find anyone to give one to me. My home is in Willow Wood if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for all replies :)

Can't help you with guild writs since I am unguilded but for the other stuff...

Doesn't matter where you come from, if you choose Antonica from any bell, you will end up on the same dock.

The best place to begin hunting in Antonica is right near the North and/or Soutrh Qeynos gates. There you will find moat rats, snakes and fire beetles as well as some hawks and gnoll pups.

While you're at it, be sure and get the "vermin" quest from the guard at the top of the steps leading to Qeynos Castle. It is a repeatable quest for decent coin and experience and you'll be killing the same mobs anyway so you might as well get paid for it!

If you share a room with your husband's character and it's "his" room, you can't sell off-line from there... the vault belongs solely to the character that rents the room. That is probably the problem.

Hope that helps and enjoy your "alone" time!

Thanks for the help!

Actually I got my own room, just can't figure how to put stuff in my vault yet - of course I only have 2 slots, any way to increase that?

you can put bags or boxes into your two slots and put your items inside those...as far as i know that is the only way to increase the available space.

Don't take the bell, run over to north qeynos (NQ) and go out that way, that's the lowest part of the zone.
If you are below level 10 I recommend you don't go there at all, go to oakmyst forest and xp there.
What level are you, that would help us give you better advice.

All bells go to the same spot in Antonica.

Vault - double click on the door of your room while you are inside. On the dialog box, bottom right corner is a button "house vault". Click that. Put 2 bags in there, put items in those bags, put prices on them, and you are selling.

You must have a bulletin board to sell things, but you've done online selling so I assume you have that covered. Double click bulletin board, second tab is the vault merchandise, set prices, and you can go on your merry way and still sell. You must enter your room once every 24 hours to keep selling.

Writs come from various people. Guard at the bottom of the ramp in NQ (top of the ramp is the guy that gives the civil service writ for rats, snakes and mites that blue is talking about).

Guard at the bottom of the lift in Eddar Grove.

Guy inside mage tower, in SQ. Enter tower, turn left, go past the carpet (like 3rd mob in).

Guy just outside the Temple of life in NQ.

So, 2 in NQ, 1 in SQ and 1 in EG. As you get higher level these 4 will send you to the next 4 and so on.

The bell at a pier in many zones all connect to each other. There are two flavors of bells, "Travel within Qeynos" or "Travel outside Qeynos".

To get to Antonica from a bell, go to the "outside" bell. You will always appear at the Antonica Pier, in the far southwest corner of the zone. There's a bunch of solo mobs around there to start you off.

North Qeynos to Antonica takes you to the NQ gate in Antonica. Pick up this quest before heading out the NQ gate - all the mobs are right there.
South Qeynos to Antonica takes you to the SQ gate in Antonica. This one and the Antonica Pier are closer to the Griffon Tower, a handy means to quickly cross Antonica.

You didn't mention your level or class, but you're looking for low level stuff. I recommend you run around Qeynos completing as many quests as you can before heading out to critter-hunt. You can easily reach level 12 just through questing, gain some coin, armor, equipment, and maybe some furniture for your room.

If you are ready to head out and hunt, the areas near all gates and pier are good low level areas. The further east you go, the harder they are. If you like dungeons, go to the Down Below (iron grate in many zones).

Go to the Hunters Cabin in central Antonica (take the road east from the NQ gate). There you'll find a merchant and mender, and upstairs is a charming lady named Matsy Rollingpin. She can give you repeatable quests and gives you some good food/drink as a reward. In fact, one quest consisted of taking a mug of ale downstairs to a drunk barbarian. That's it!

You have only 2 slots in your house vault. But like klyia said, put a bag or box in it to add more space. Once you put them up for sale and log off, they will remain on the market for up to 24 hours. After that, you must log back in as they have since been removed.

City Writs can give the guild exp only if they are done by "Patrons". Check your guild window to ensure you are flagged as such. If not, a guild leader can change your status.

Writs are grouped by levels of 5, so as you gain levels, you must take on harder writs. Here is a good link for writs and where to get them.
