I have been thinking about what to make to skill up and was thinking about Ash Quills.
With four combines for each one (one resin, one wash, ash lumber, and ash quills) I should level quickly...
My question is this:
Will these quills sell???
I tried selling Elm & Maple Quills but they rarely sold for more than I could get from the crafting vendor... and that BARELY covers the expense of making them...
I know the answer depends on the server, but I am on the Befallen...
Any help would be appreciated... thanks for your time!

You'll probably be able to sell them. How much you can make on them may well be another story.
In my opinion, interum combines only sell if it is convenient for the buyer. The only thing anyone really needs to buy are final combines. Everything else can be made no matter what your class and skill are.
So it all comes down to how quickly I want to make something with that interum you're selling... The less time I have to spend, the more money I am willing to pay to save some time.
What this all boils down to is that people will buy your quills if it saves them the time and effort it would take to make them and if the price is right.
I'm not saying I wouldn't do it... quite the opposite... I say go for it! Just be prepared to be flexable on your best price!

I am just thinking if the tradeskill vendor offers 83cp for the quills I was thinking perhaps 1sp... not much of a mark up... but you can't make Tier III spells without the quills...

I'm with Old Blue completely on this one. There are times I've checked the broker for subcombines, just to save the time.

Ash Quills sell just fine as specially if you know a spellcrafter. They are used for all the Adept spell levels.
