Writs are basically quests that you do to earn experience for your guild.

I believe that you can take on some writs just to earn status for yourself.. atleast you can in tradeskills...

Writs will give you about 1000 personal status each time you complete one. Really, at least in my opinion, they are pointless unless you are a patron for your guild. The amount of status you gain is really nothing when you consider the average heritage quest gives you 30k or more status. If you are not a patron it will not help you guild in any way. Most guilds are selective on who they give writs to, and many times they have a quota you are supposed to make. You see the more patrons a guild has the less actual guild exp they get per writ completed, or at least so I understand.

I think it depends on the level.. my t3 writs gave me 2600 status points per.. and I can do 20 of those by the time most can do a heritage quest.. Im sure it goes up as you do.. If I have the raw mats to spare I do a few here and there.. not to mention the pay pretty good..

If you're in a guild and do writs, you will earn personal status whether you're a patron or not.

Personal status can be spent at City Merchants and more items for sale are available as your guild levels up.

For example, crafters can purchase crafting tables for their rooms.

You can also buy *social* clothes Smiley: grin
